This is a demo of an open stage performance rehearsal and features Leave it to Beaver World - a song actually written when Rob Ford was elected Mayor of Toronto and apropos more so with the USA election results. Plan is to make a video of this song with a new recording as well.

Lyrics

Leave it to Beaver World
by Keith McDonald c. 2010

In a Leave it to Beaver World
We don't have satellites
In a Leave it to Beaver World
Our TV comes in black & white

In a Leave it to Beaver World
Our parents don't have sex
In a Leave it to Beaver World
They sleep alone in their twin beds

In a Leave it to Beaver World
We don't have any crimes
In a Leave it to Beaver World
Our candy sells for nickels and dimes

Mom stayed home
And Dad worked hard
All us kids
Just played in the yard

But that's not now
Mr Cleaver would say
You can't go forward
By going back to yesterday

In a Leave it to Beaver World
We don't have gay marriages
In a Leave it to Beaver World
We just have gay old times

In a Leave it to Beaver World
We don't have prejudice
In a Leave it to Beaver World
It's just us against all the rest

Mom stayed home
And Dad worked hard
All us kids
Just played in the yard

But that's not now
Mr Cleaver would say
You cannot go forward
By going back to yesterday

Yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday

Some well known politicians name checked to play out ...
